Does the law about minimum wage apply to everyone?
No.
In addition to those employees who are not
covered by the Employment Standards Code, the minimum
wage provisions do not apply to employees in certain occupations.
Examples are real estate brokers within the Real Estate Act,
students in certain work experience programs, and articling students
within the Legal Profession Act.
For
certain kinds of salespeople, the minimum wage is currently $336
per week. This includes a mobile home salesperson, residential home
salesperson who is employed by the person building the homes, and
a car, truck, or bus salesperson.
