Alberta > Protection Against Family Violence Act:

I am fearful of my uncle who lives with us because of threats he has made and violence that has taken place in the past. How can I prevent him from being in my home?

If you do not need an emergency protection order in an emergency situation, you can apply to the Queen's Bench court for a Queen's Bench Protection Order. As the claimant you have to establish that you have been the subject of family violence as defined by the Protection Against Family Violence Act. Notice of the application must be given to your uncle.
