Alberta > Protection Against Family Violence Act:

Are the court fees for making applications under the Protection Against Family Violence Act very expensive?

When an emergency protection order is granted, the matter is automatically scheduled for consideration by a Queen's Bench judge so that there are no filing fees.

When an application is made directly to the Court of Queen's Bench for a protection order there are still no filing fees.
