What if my province hasn't changed its laws and my family doesn't
fall under the federal Guidelines?
Each
Canadian province has laws that allow provincial court judges to
make orders about custody, access, and support. These laws continue
in effect until the provincial governments change them. Your family
will not fall through the cracks; if the federal guidelines do not
apply to your situation and your provincial government hasn't changed
its laws to comply with the Guidelines, the courts in your province
can still use the existing laws to make orders to help families.
