How much does a custody assessment cost?

There is no absolute rule. Generally, an assessment will cost between $1,000 and $6,000, depending on the amount of time that the assessor must spend, and the fee that the assessor charges. Some charge an hourly rate and others charge a flat fee. You should discuss this issue with your lawyer before agreeing on who will perform the assessment.
