What does the term "major decision" mean?

A major decision means deciding matters like

  • where a child will go to school;
  • what religion the child will follow;
  • health care decisions, like braces on teeth or surgery;
  • extracurricular activities like sports programmes or music lessons; and
  • daycare or after school care arrangements.
