Who runs the Land Titles system in Alberta?

The Government of Alberta regulates the Land Titles system in Alberta. It is administered through registered agencies such as search houses and law firms. There are two offices, one in Edmonton and one in Calgary. Alberta was divided into two land registration districts. The South Alberta Land Registration office in Calgary was responsible for the land from the US border to Township 34 (just south of Innisfail, Alberta), and the North Alberta Land Registration office was responsible for all the land north of Township 34 to the Northwest Territories. With computer access both offices can now register land in either the north or south of the province.
